RAALLY

1st RAALLY

The RAALLY Event consists in a exciting air race in which the pilot tries to be faster than his colleagues throughout a scheduled track.

Participating pilots depart simultaneously from the same airport, but only the skillests pilots will be able to reach the scheduled destination firstly, matching with the track's difficults and obstacles.

The first version of RAALLY will occur next sunday night, may 17th from 23z, on the Grand Canyon area, in United States. A voice coordination channel will be available for participating pilots on TeamSpeak AM3 server.


The first placed pilot will be awarded with the RAALLY award.

NAVIGATION PLAN

- taxi to holding short runway 33 and wait the others aircrafts
- take-off from KPGA runway 33, maintain runway heading until reach 5000FT
- turn LEFT heading 210 and cross-out over the hydro-electric power station
- follow the river track south-westbound maintaining 70 KIAS and 5000FT
- at this moment all the aircrafts will be flying side by side at the same altitude
- stand by the "green light" signal to increase your speed
- after passing the left-hand "big squared wall", join into the Canyon
- proceed by yourself accordingly with the air race main rules
- pay attention to the sector's altitude limit (see the limits table below)
- follow the highway located at the exit of the Canyon, below 5100FT
- land on T03 runway 33 and vacate it immediately by your right into the grass
- taxi to the main apron located near the runway 33 threshold
- shut down the engine

SECTORS

1) from Canyon's entrance until the Canyon's 1st bifurcation at N36°11.6' W111°48.0', into which the maximum altitude allowed will be 2800FT

2) from Canyon's 1st bifurcation until the 2nd bifurcation at N36°10.7' W111°42.4', into which the maximum altitude allowed will be 3000FT

3) from Canyon's 2nd bifurcation until the 3rd bifurcation at N35°38.1' W111°41.4' , into which the maximum altitude allowed will be 4000FT

4) from Canyon's 3rd bifurcation until the Canyon's exit at N35°55.9' W111°33.9', into which the maximum altitude allowed will be 4500FT

5) from Canyon's exit at until the highway's bifurcation at N35°51.3' W111°25.6', through which the maximum altitude allowed will be 5100FT

6) from highway's bifurcation until the destination airport, through which the maximum altitude allowed will be 5000FT

MAIN RULES

- the aircraft to be used is default Cessna C172SP Skyhawk
- the connection server to be used is AM1
- the minimum fuel for each wing tank is 30%
- the altimeter setting must be the standard 1013hPa/29.92in Hg
- pilots overtaking the maximum altitudes for 2 times will be desclassified
